It does sound tough to achieve. I haven’t done a range test but I’ve been riding this bike a lot lately and have noticed the drain is really slow on the battery on PAS1. Their PWR programming is very efficient and only puts out 50watts. So I do believe it’s possible for ‘ideal’ conditions with a rider on flat ground that’s about 150lbs on PAS1 the whole way especially with how light the bike it and the street tires having such low drag. 40 miles is a long way though, so that range may have been achieved on a machine that did the measuring.

I hope you’re right about the prices going back down. I agree with the ‘menace’ comment on overpowered e-bikes. I may be a hypocrite as I like 750w bikes and a lot of power, but some of those super e-bikes are really dangerous for kids that aren’t mature minded enough to ride them safely. I have a feeling that prices may rise for all sellers to set a price level people will just get used too. I echo the concern of others that worry more people will opt for cheap (low quality) e-bikes that may not be safe.

@@aymanhawari2589 Rad is raising prices June 30, 100 to 200 bucks more, but only on their most recent new models.

The C9 will work with almost any seat post and should be compatible to work with the XPeak. The XPeak has a 31.8mm seatpost diameter and the 31.6mm posts should fit and will just need the bracket tightening screw turned a couple of times.

I'm 5'5" and its one of the best fitting 14" ebikes that I've reviewed to date. My cameraman John is 6 feet tall and he loves it. He uses it a lot now and leaves it in the extra cab of his truck so its always with him.

Wow! Really?!? Thanks for the correction. I always thought the plastic fenders were lighter as some of the 26" fat tire ebikes that I've had to add them on myself seemed so light.

@@EbikeProducts I was going for giddy up, couldn’t get one here in Uk so decided on an iopw oversized seat and just before I ordered, I saw one called ybeki (same as iopw). $30. Best thing I’ve ever sat on. Hopefully it lasts.

That’s one of the huge benefits of Flatout. Supposedly, it can last up to 10 years. I’ve heard some people have taken out thatuff from and old tire and put it in another tire because it was still useful after many years (I don’t personally recommend that).

I personally think it's worth it for a belt drive. Mostly because I like that it's grease free and should outlast the ebike, plus belts are sooo smooth. Not that the chain is rough as its a single gear, but belts are really amazing.

I reached out to the contact person I have with Freedare to let them know you are trying to reach their customer service team and I sent them a screenshot of your comment. Please let me know if you have not heard from them in a few days. I don't know where they are located, so give it till Monday in case they are overseas. My contact people at ebike companies are often marketing people and sometimes they are hired advertising agencies. Since they often have no authority and can't do anything about customer service problems, I let them know about issues I see in the comments and they can pass it on. It can take a few days depending on the company. Let's hope this is a quick resolve for you. I really do want to know how their customer service handles this moving forward so please keep me updated if you have time.

It definitely won't hold 10mph on throttle only on that hill as I was down to about 5-7 when I was near the top helping it already. A second motor added to the front would be awesome!

Really? The only time this has failed me was when a wire tore the sidewall of a tire. All other times, this stuff will even repair a tire that has thorn holes and make it ride good as new. Is it possible you have a leak elsewhere of maybe not enough sealant? This stuff can close nail and screw holes, a small thorn hole should be no match for it. Please share more details.

Yes, this is a bike that could definitely be used for that. Personally, I see more door dashers using 20" fat tires more, maybe due to the low profile to get on and off and also if you have a load on the rack, the lower the bike the easier it is to stay balanced at stops with a lower center of gravity. If you are taller, that shouldn't be an issue though, just be aware you may need to swing your leg over the food carrier on the rack that may be kind of high.

Sorry, it's on PAS1 that allows you to get that kind of range, not throttle only on PAS5. The new PWR system today is much more efficient that 1ah per mile for most of the new ebikes that are made in 2024 and a lot in even 2023. There are very few now that only give you 1ah per mile now. 40 miles will require help from the rider for sure, but definitely achievable.

If there are ebikes for that cheap that are that good, I definitely want to make videos on them. Gotta love how tech is getting cheaper and the over supply of great components like hydraulic brakes and other parts are such a blessing.

Thank you for the question! It was something I should've asked Lectric about earlier and put in the video as that is something a lot of people may want to know. I reached out to Lectric and this was the answer I got, "The battery from the XP Lite 1.0 will work with the XP Lite 2.0 but the Long Range for the XP Lite 2.0 will not work for the XP Lite 1.0." Now I know the answer too! Thanks again.

@@EbikeProducts Thanks, that's what I suspected. Also confirmed in Ebike Escape's video here: ruclips.net/video/ThgOxxtJ93E/видео.html where he mentions the frame was extended to fit that battery. I also noticed Lectric says the new bike is 64" in length whereas the old one was 63".

Me too! I've tested a few ebikes with the carbon belt drive and it's really smooth. I realized this morning that the belt drive option is only available on the black model. I would pay an extra $100 for it even though the chain drive works perfectly fine. An extra $100 for no grease and less maintenance is a small price to pay if you don't like getting grease on you or your clothes (or car if you transport it) which is something I would do. $899 for the belt version overall is such a great deal overall I'd probably recommend it over the chain for anyone who is also on the fence.

Yamee is out of stock on their batteries at the moment. I've been trying to get a replacement for the bike I reviewed in this video and I am not sure when they will get them in stock or how long it will take. The battery that came with the bike just failed and won't charge and the bike only has 400 miles on it. Hopefully the reason they are out of stock is that they are getting UL rated batteries made now.

I definitely need to go back and do it again with throttle only to see if it will make it. It was unconscious for me to start to pedal at the end due to fear of falling over at such slow speeds near 4mph and didn't even think to try to let it keep going. At that steep angle, losing balance with a bike can easily make you fall over. If I get a chance to go back with it, I'll force myself to keep throttle only for sure.

It might be possible the pin could come loose, but there are 2 things that comfort me about it. 1. There is a lot of friction on that pin to turn it. It's not loose turning. 2. It take a lot of turns to make it come out. Still, I would recommend everyone check it before every ride for peace of mind.

Congratulations on your Sinch!!! Aventon definitely makes some amazing ebike and they all have a very solid feel to them. I’m guessing you got one of the Sinch 2 edikes which is definitely one of my favorite designs. I’ve never ridden a Sinch 2, but I’ve tested a few Aventon ebikes (including an Aventure) from friends who have them and they have all been awesome e-bikes. You’re right about the Aventure being a beast and I understand why’d you sell them. It’s a totally different kind of ride and the size can be less relaxing than a smaller more nimble ebike. Plus, there’s a ton more versatility and opportunity for taking an ebike that can be folded and put in a large trunk. Thanks for sharing and safe riding!
